Platform Proposals Callout

Following excellent Platform events this autumn including testing workshop formats, digital performance and reading draft film scripts. We are looking for proposals for our late winter and spring sessions.

Platform sessions can be used however you need to support your creative practice; so far we have hosted training, new writing, testing online workshop and performance formats, sharing provocations amongst others.

Our aim is to make the work of Edinburgh's independent performing artists, producers and freelance practitioners more visible to the city's wider cultural community and to provide an environment for respectful peer to peer feedback and support.

“Being able to test it out in a safe environment gave us a lot of confidence about the work.”

“…so often a chance is all performing arts folk want but it is so rarely available… Platform is a shining, practical example of that.”

Platform is a paid opportunity and, like all EPAD opportunities, it is non-competitive and will be programmed through a process of random selection from all eligible proposals.

We are particularly keen to hear from artists/creatives who are under-represented within the city's performing arts community.

You can download guidance on how to apply here and use this short form to apply by 5 January 2022.
