Practice Development Support - EPAD Residency programme 2024

We are delighted to launch a new programme of residencies across Edinburgh for 2024 aimed at making it easier for Edinburgh-based performing artists to develop work in their own city. We are working with 8 of the city's cultural and community venues to offer 8 different weeks of paid creative development time.

Each residency week has been designed in collaboration with the host venue to reflect their particular area of creative interest and/or artform specialism.  As well as providing free space at each venue and a fee to each resident artist(s), the residency will be an opportunity for new relationships to be generated between host venue and resident artist(s) with a view to strengthening connections across our venue and artist communituies.

The programme will be promoted in 2 tranches, with residency weeks in May and June at Dance Base, WHALE, Summerhall, Assembly Roxy and Lyra which are now open for applications (deadline 5pm, 23rd February 2024).  A second tranche of residency weeks in September, October and November at North Edinburgh Arts, Traverse Theatre and Scottish Storytelling Centre will open in April.

In line with EPAD's non-competitive ethos, artists to be resident at each venue will be selected by random selection from all eligible applications.  You can read the Guidance and submit an application here.
